Overall:

The good: One of the best online rental companies out there.

The bad: Every company has its downsides. To rent from Netflix you must be 18 or older to use their services as they do offer a few adult genres. Another area where Netflix lacks is the ability to provide online game rentals. With Netflix leading the industry in online DVD rentals, we’d like to see them do the same with games! The largest downside to Netflix is that they have been known to ship high demand titles to less active Netflix users. We found this in their terms of use!

The bottom line: All in all, Netflix is the largest online DVD movie rental service. They offer a good amount of features and a very user friendly website.

I really like Netflix, I am on their 4 at a time + Unlimited streaming. The streaming is OK. Selection is pretty weak, they have a lot of older movies. But if you TV shows, they have a lot of those. Delivery is one day for me, which is nice. The quality for streaming is good on my PC, I recommend you hook up to PC with lan line, instead of wifi. My house wifi is weak and goes in and out at times so that caused some glitches. Otherwise the best rental company online. I have tried blockbuster back when they did instore exchanges, but since they stopped that, I switched to Netflix. That and the fact that Blockbuster sold all their stores and left my city, now Family Video has a monopoly, which sucks cause their prices are really high. All in all, go with Netflix, you will not be disappointed.

I had and canceled Netflix in 2004.The main reason being that the turn around time was too slow.I live in rural Appalachia and the movies were going to Atlanta. On top of the movies moving slow in the mail,I felt very strongly that Netflix was further retarding the turn around time.I was on 3 at a time and no matter how hard I tried I got no more than 3 movies every week.
In January, hearing that Netflix was now shipping from Knoxville,I rejoined Netflix. For the first 2 weeks I could not have been happier.Movies put in my box before c3PM were being checked in consistently in Knoxville before 8AM the next morning.I was bragging to people that Netflix had changed…..Then on Jan 14 ,things changed. For some untold reason I got an extra movie, then there were 2 movies shipped out earlier that day. They said the expected arrival was the next day but one shipped after the “free ” movie said it would arrive 3 days later.Since this instance movies shipped are rarely checked in on the next day and I feel after the first 5 (i’m on 5 at a time) that they are not only retarded to the weekend but they are not even checked in until Tuesday .So if I mail in movies on Wednesday(a featy after they ship to me on Tuesday)The movies are not checked in on Thursday,Friday,NEVER on Saturday then they are usualy held until tuesday. This ,I’m sure ups their profit but they are about to lose a customer.
I sent a note in with some returns to the manager of that facility stating that I would not be a customer long if this continued but to date iot has.Occasionaly I might get as many as 8 movies in a week but never more and usualy only 5.
I am ready to drop them and try Blockbuster to see if they can do better.

Evidently Netflix reads these reviews or this site submits them to Netflix because immeadiately aftere writing the former review ,they started sending the movies as they did before Jan 14.The only gripe I have now is that they don’t seem to check in movies on Saturday(never have since I joined)So I will stay with them for now anyway….PEACE!!!!!
